In the "Gulf Coast Daily" dated July 27, 1997

it was reported :

"Last Friday a thirteen year old boy was sent home from the public school computer camp on account of his unusual demeanor and his failure to follow the dress code. After the school padlocked the boy's pants because he was "sagging" he told reporters that his name was Luther Blissett and that his mother's name was Luther Blissett and on behalf of all the Luther Blissett's around the world he ask, that if inclined to do so, they also padlock their pants. One has to wonder what all this means."
